Over the years I have sold "The Beautiful Design" hexagon version.   I am now pleased to offer a more versatile rectangle version. (June 2011)

Look hard into "The Beautiful Design" and see the diamonds, triangles and hexagons within the large hexagon.  The harder you look - the more shapes you see. Create your own interpretation.  This pack is not recommended for those who are new to patchwork. 

Before you can start sewing fabric over the templates you have the challenge of putting the templates together - a bit like a jigsaw.

Pack contains:

336 hand cut paper templates (100gsm paper) to create the design shown above, (or your interpretation of the design). 

Seven pages of  illustrated guidance and instruction.

To start the design you will need a piece of thick cardboard to lay the design on, scissors, pins, needles and thread. Fabrics are not provided.  If you need fabrics please contact me and I may be able to provide at extra cost.

Dimensions: approx.     43cm (17") x 38cm (15") excluding border.

I first came across this Islamic design 40 years ago.  I was  about 13 or 14 at the time and to this day continues to mesmerize me.  Over the years I have created many different variations in a hexagonal format. This shape has limitations, so I created  a rectangular version.

 The design above was created by Jackie Wills (myself)  during the month of May 2011  and has been named  "Mascara".  It has over 170 different colours.  Fabrics used:  Glazed cotton chintz and cotton craft fabric of various weights.
